Abby Hillmann is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow supported by the Aging Center T32 program in the Duke University School of Medicine. She earned her PhD in the Biological and Health Psychology program at the University of Pittsburgh and completed dual bachelor's degrees in biology and psychology at the University of Kentucky.
Her program of research centers on identifying the psychosocial correlates of healthy aging. She is interested in measuring biological aging and understanding how it may relate to downstream cognitive outcomes. Her research also incorporates an ecological systems approach and considers contextual factors that influence health, including developmental stage, community environment, and cultural context.
