Biography

Renate received her Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Texas at Austin in 1997 and has been analyzing longitudinal datasets ever since. She completed a post doc in Developmental Science & Longitudinal Methodology at the Center for Developmental Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2001 and spent 8 years at RTI International working on the NICHD Study of Early Child Care and Youth Development.

Renate joined the team as the resident Statistician in 2009. She provides statistical support and consulting for all kinds of studies using techniques such as structural equation modeling, latent growth curve modeling, behavioral genetic modeling, confirmatory and exploratory factor analysis, and traditional descriptive and inferential statistics.

When not at work, Renate stays busy with two growing kids, reading/writing/drawing, jogging and home improvement projects.
