Amber completed her undergraduate and master's level work in the United States, and earned her PhD in Criminology from Stockholm University (Stockholm, Sweden) in April of 2015. After living abroad in Sweden for six years she returned to the United States and is now a Marie Curie International Postdoctoral fellow with the Moffitt-Caspi Team.
Amber takes an interdisciplinary approach to studying crime and antisocial behavior. She is interested in figuring out why people begin, persist, and desist in crime and antisocial behavior based on things like their individual traits, their family, and their environment. The overarching goal of Amber's research is to contribute to the development of evidence-based interventions and justice-system policy.
